The style of yoga we offer at Vida Yoga is called, Hatha-Vinyasa Yoga it is a gentle flow style, suitable for those fairly new to Yoga.
The 60 minute intimate class (max. 9 people) consists of some Yin poses (stretching) as well as a sequence of more traditional poses or asanas put together in flow. The benefits of this style of practice are the calming of the mind and nervous system, improved strength and flexibility and increased focus/energy.
The philosophy of this style of practice is about becoming more connected with your body, transcending the ego and providing students with tools to live their lives off the mat in the most authentic way possible.
It is a humbling practice, and allows them to purely focus on yourself, without the need to prove anything from an ego-based perspective. The work we do on the mat is about connection, connection firstly with their-self and connection with all that exists around them.
